LMU-Master of Science (M.Sc. in BWL)

Munich School of Management offers a Master of Science programme in business administration. This two year consecutive programme is taught in German and in English so you need a bachelor degree in an economic or business related subject as well as a good command of both languages. For detailed information on application and admission please refer to Munich School of Management's web pages.

European Triple Degree (ETD)

Together with EM Lyon and Lancaster University Munich School of Management offers a joint Master of Science programme, the European Triple Degree.

This programme is a general management course, offering a specialisation in the second year. In the first year, students, studying on the same site (EM LYON during the first year), take fundamental management courses. For each of these fundamental courses, a team of three professors representing each institution establishes an educational itinerary taking into account a triple-angle vision from the different cultures. These redefined courses take on board three European outlooks on situations and processes as well as examining the views of these Europeans on the rest of the world. The second year represents the opportunity for students to specialise: Strategy and Change with Ludwig Maximilians University,  Corporate Development with Lancaster University, or Corporate Finance with EM LYON. As the last highlight of the programme, students enrolled in this course will receive a triple degree diploma (EM LYON + Lancaster University + LMU).

The master's program "Media, Management and Digital Technologies" (MMT) is jointly offered with the support of the initiative "Digitaler Campus Bayern" by the Munich School of Management as well as the Faculty for Mathematics, Informatics and Statistics and the Institute for Informatics at the LMU München. The consecutive and tuition-free master’s program has a duration of four semesters. Graduates will be awarded the academic degree "Master of Science" (120 ECTS credit points).

This research course of studies was introduced with the winter term 1999/2000, giving post-graduate studies a new platform at Munich School of management.

The MBR is a two year programme. Its core part is an integrative class: At least two professors coach a group of about 24 students for one year. Besides, a project study is included to foster the preparation of a doctorate thesis. Detailed information is available in German only.

Doctorate

The doctor’s degree that can be acquired at the department of business administration is called ”Dr. oec. publ.” (doctor oeconomicae publicae). This title has been granted - with some breaks - since the beginning of the 20th century and was, originally, a title obtained in the area of political science.
